Submission guidelines


Considering the river, sea and mountain conditions that Setúbal offers and taking into account the participation of exhibitors in previous editions, the aim is to continue and improve the event in question, covering, in an accessible and transversal way, the business and supply areas of Recreational Nautical, Sport Fishing, Spearfishing, Diving, Outdoor Sports and Nautical and Mountain Tourism services, at local, national and international level.


Organize a comprehensive event, where related companies can exhibit and offer their products and services, in a supported way, both in terms of suitable exhibition spaces, workshops, recreational and sporting activities and varied catering support.

The aforementioned activities will be promoted by the organization, and/or, in partnership, with exhibitors from various interested areas, clubs and associations, in the sense of practical interaction between exhibitors and visitors.

In addition to sporting events, in preparation, various sports, Workshops, as well as Open Days proposed by tour operators with departure and arrival from Porto de Recreio das Fontainhas or other indicated locations from the Fair will be considered. The dissemination of these activities, when in partnership, will be the responsibility of the Fair organization.

Activities promoted solely by exhibitors, in their business area, will be their responsibility and must be promoted and publicized by them, using their means or, by prior agreement, before and during the event, on pages created by the municipality for this purpose. and/or through the sound booth.


For publicity purposes, and in addition to specialized newspapers and magazines, the Setúbal Nautical Fair will have a dedicated “website” and will appear, as an event, on the Facebook pages of the Municipality of Setúbal:

Conditions for visitors

Free entrance

Participation in activities free of charge or at a cost to be defined, depending on the offering decisions of each exhibitor or event partner.

Conditions for exhibitors

Exhibition spaces are paid for and are divided into two categories: indoor and outdoor.

Space occupation rules - Values per m2

Indoor spaces: €6 (+VAT)

The available interior spaces are mostly offered in the following formats:

  1. 3m x 3m
  2. 5m x 5m
  3. 8m x 5m

Exhibitors will be able to rent one or more spaces of each format, according to their needs, as well as adapt other dimensions, according to existing availability, and by agreement with the organization.

Outdoor spaces: €3 (+VAT)

The dimensions and formats of the outdoor spaces will be negotiated with the organization, according to exhibitors’ needs and availability at the time of registration.

Minimum space, indoor or outdoor, to be hired: 9m2, in 3m x 3m format

Important note: Given the number of interested exhibitors and in order to manage the diversity of the event, the organization, if necessary, may limit the maximum dimensions of the spaces to be allocated.

All exhibitors who are partners in a sporting, recreational activity or workshop will be allocated a free space, up to 25m2, which can either be added to the contracted space, or deducted, in cash, from the total value of this.

The allocation of spaces, indoor or outdoor, will depend on the following factors
  1. Product type
  2. Spaces available at the time of registration
  3. Framing the exhibition format, exhibition area of the same product and corridors for visitors.

The aforementioned rules apply to both types of spaces, indoor and outdoor, as well as to all exhibitors and restaurants.

Priority for allocation of indoor spaces Covered Pavilion 1 (PC1):

  1. Vessels up to 6.5m long.
  2. Marine engines, equipment and electronics.
  3. Nautical Tourism.

Priority for allocation of indoor spaces Covered Pavilion 2 (PC2):

  1. Sport fishing.
  2. Nautical and
  3. Mountain Tourism.
  4. Regional Products.

Priority for allocation of outdoor spaces compared to PCs 1 and 2:

  1. Recreational Nautical / Vessels of all sizes.
  2. Nautical Tourism / upon request or if the interior spaces, at the time of registration, are already complete.
  3. In this case, the organization will guarantee each exhibitor a 3×3 tent with a light point.
  4. Sponsors, catering support and entertainment area.

Priority for allocating outdoor spaces on the Pontão Sul do Doca de Recreio das Fontaínhas:

  1. Recreational Nautical / Vessels up to 7m in length.
  2. Nautical Tourism / upon request or if the interior spaces, at the time of registration, are already complete.
    In this case, the organization will guarantee each exhibitor a 3×3 tent with a light point.
  3. Caravaning (eventually).

Important note: Spaces on the Fontaínhas Dock South Pontoon will only be allocated when the spaces in front of PC 1 and PC 2 are complete.

For each contracted space, or set of spaces, Setúbal City Council will ensure:
  1. One light point, for spaces up to 50m2, and two separate light points, for spaces with larger areas,
    both in indoor and outdoor spaces.
  2. Carpet to cover all contracted spaces, except in cases where the exhibitor prefers to place the
    your own carpet. Only in indoor spaces.
  3. In the case of exhibitors related to sport fishing that need to install a detachable swimming pool
    For sample testing, salt water will be provided, with filling at the expense of the organization.
  4. Only exhibitors of Sport Fishing, Equipment and Electronics, seafarers, will be assured
    dividers, of which we will send types and dimensions in good time.
  5. In outdoor spaces, the organization will provide a 3x3m tent, a light point and potted plants as a divider,
    The customer/visitor support area will be taken care of by each exhibitor.

As tendas de apoio 3m x 3m cedidas pelo município são parte do espaço de aluguer de cada expositor.

A contratação de espaços, e os apoios aos mesmos, serão atendidos por ordem de entrada das inscrições, dependendo das características, das necessidades dos expositores e dos espaços disponíveis no momento das inscrições.

Other support/security
  1. Space for access to the river, tests or activities, at Porto de Recreio das Fontainhas, through the places highlighted in the attached image – Feira and Porto de Recreio. Free, to be agreed with the organization.
  2. In the case of using a crane, forklift and cart with a lifting platform, in order to minimize costs, using them in the shortest possible time, opening hours will be agreed with interested exhibitors.
  3. The space will be available to exhibitors to begin their respective setups from 9:00 am on May 15th.
  4. Dismantling must be done by 8:00 pm on May 23rd, the following Tuesday.
  5. The security of the facilities at night will be ensured by the Setúbal City Council.
Promotion of companies / activities / hobbies, during the fair
  1. All exhibitors will be allocated advertising time, through the Nautical Fair’s sound system and during the event.
  2. Publicity texts will be the responsibility of the companies, as well as competitions, baptisms, open days, that they propose.
  3. The times for disclosure will be agreed with those responsible for this area, in a timely manner.

Each exhibitor must complete and sign the Registration Form and send it to the Sports Division of the Setúbal City Council via email: feira.nautica@mun-setubal.pt by April 15, 2023.
